Why the founder is part of the entity
Ask an AI assistant about a young company and watch how often the answer mentions the founder. Early-stage companies are thin entities; the founder is the richest node attached to them. A founder with real coverage, interviews, and authored work lends all of that authority to the company record, and vice versa. Executive authority is not vanity, it is entity-building.
The footprint, in build order
1. One bio, everywhere
Write a three-sentence bio: who you are, what you built, what you know. Use it verbatim on LinkedIn, your site, every podcast guest page, and every byline. Consistency is the cheapest signal you will ever buy.
2. A named presence on your own site
A founder page with Person schema, linked to the Organization. Machines should be able to connect you to your company without inference. The markup is in Schema and Structured Data.
3. Podcast interviews, on a cadence
One or two shows a month in your category. Each creates a transcript, an episode page, and a bio on someone else's domain, the compounding trail described in Podcast Footprint. Repurpose every episode into clips, per Podcast Clips to Ads.
4. Bylines and quotes
Authored articles put your name in the author field of trusted domains, which is a different and stronger signal than being mentioned. The case is made in Author and Expert Bylines. Between bylines, be quotable: expert commentary on news in your category keeps the record current.
5. A LinkedIn that matches the record
LinkedIn is usually the first personal result and a heavy source for machines. Treat it as a publication, not a resume, per Executive LinkedIn Presence.
What this does for the company
Founder coverage feeds company recommendations: the association is explicit in how models describe young companies. It also compounds into fundraising diligence, enterprise security reviews, and hiring, every process that starts with someone searching your name. The company-level version of this program is at Digital PR for founders.
