How Much Do AI Visibility Tracking Tools Cost in 2026?
On pages read October 19, 2026, published entry prices run from $29 a month (Otterly Lite, billed monthly) to $199 (Ahrefs Brand Radar AI), with Peec AI at $95 and Semrush's toolkit at $99 in between. Two well-known vendors, Profound and Meltwater, publish no price at all. The table sets out what each page shows.

What Do AI Visibility Tools Publish?
Four of the six vendors publish a starting price, and they meter different things, so the chart is a map of entry points, not a ranking.

Monthly-billing prices; annual billing is lower for Otterly ($25) and Peec AI ($80). Units differ: Ahrefs' $199 tier is “83 prompts/day” against its own index, its $50 package is “+2,500 checks/mo” on prompts you define, and Otterly, Peec AI and Semrush count tracked prompts. Peec AI's prices were read in a browser; its page source carries no figures. Profound and Meltwater publish no price and are not charted.
The chart shows a roughly 7-to-1 spread between Otterly Lite and Ahrefs Brand Radar AI, but each buys a different allowance: 15 prompts at Otterly, 50 at Peec AI, 25 at Semrush, and at Ahrefs either a fixed index or a pool of checks. Our recommendation, not a vendor rule: compare cost per tracked prompt per engine per day, which none of these vendors states directly.
What Does Otterly Charge?
Otterly is the cheapest published entry point. Lite is $29 a month on monthly billing or $25 on annual billing for 15 search prompts; Standard is $189 or $160 for 100 prompts and adds API access, MCP access and Agent Analytics; Premium is $489 or $422 for 400 prompts. Enterprise is custom, “Starting from 1,000 search prompts.” Every plan tracks four engines, “ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, MS Copilot,” with daily tracking and unlimited team members; Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini are “extra Add-ons” (Otterly).
The add-ons can change the bill a lot. On monthly billing, Google AI Mode and Gemini each cost $9, $59 or $149 a month depending on the plan, and Claude costs $29, $109 or $439. Standard and Premium can “Add 100 extra search prompts at $ 99.” Otterly's annual toggle is labeled “15% off,” and its FAQ says “we provide a free trial for new users” (Otterly). Adding all three extra engines to Lite would cost $47 a month on top of the $29 base, by our arithmetic from those figures.
What Does Peec AI Charge?
Peec AI publishes three self-serve prices, though only in the rendered page: Starter is $95 a month billed monthly ($80 on annual billing, labeled “Save $180”), Pro is $245 ($205, “Save $480”) and Advanced is $495 ($420, “Save $900”). Starter covers 50 prompts, Pro 150 and Advanced 350, each with “Choose 3 models,” unlimited users and daily tracking; Advanced adds multi-country tracking and Looker Studio. Enterprise is “Custom” and “Annual,” with “Up to 13 LLM models tracked” and API access (Peec AI).
Peec defines its usage unit as “tracked prompts by active models and tracking frequency.” Its page source carries the plan names and limits but no prices; the dollar figures above appeared when we opened the page in a browser on October 19, 2026, and may vary by region.
What Does Semrush Charge for AI Visibility?
Semrush sells AI visibility two ways. The standalone AI Visibility Toolkit is “$99 per month” and includes 1 project, 1 domain for Brand Performance, 300 daily queries in AI Analysis reports, 1,000 daily queries in Prompt Research, 25 prompts for Prompt Tracking and 10 CSV exports a day. Extra domains cost “$99 per domain per month,” 50 more prompts cost “$60 per month,” and each extra user in a corporate account needs a $99 license. Prompt Tracking covers “platforms like Google AI Mode and ChatGPT”; the article gives no full engine list (Semrush Help).
Semrush's main plans also include AI visibility. Starter, labeled “SEO + AI Search,” is $199 a month billed monthly or $165.17 billed annually with “50 prompts to track daily”; Pro+ is $299 or $248.17 with “100 prompts to track daily.” The SEO plan at $139 ($117.33 annually) lists “Monitor custom prompts” but gives no prompt count (Semrush). Semrush's separate AI PR Toolkit for media outreach is $149 to $499 a month billed annually and is covered in Best Alternatives to Prowly.
What Does Ahrefs Charge?
Ahrefs has three routes. Brand Radar AI, which searches its database of “492 million+ organic prompts,” starts “from $199/mo” and can be bought on its own; the Brand Radar page gives that tier as “83 prompts/day +2,500 checks/month” with overage at “$0.020/check.” For prompts you define, Ahrefs sells packages: Basic at $50 a month with 2,500 checks, Growth at $100 with 7,000 and Scale at $250 with 25,000. And every paid plan from Lite up includes a daily quota: Lite ($129 a month) 5 prompts and 150 checks, Standard ($249) 10 and 300, Advanced ($449) 20 and 600 (Ahrefs pricing; Ahrefs Brand Radar).
A check is “one prompt on one platform in one location,” and “Claude consumes 8 checks per update.” The index covers AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot; custom prompts support those plus Claude (Ahrefs Brand Radar). Ahrefs' pricing page offers up to 17% off for annual payment; the $29 Starter plan is not listed as including tracked prompts.
Why Won't Profound and Meltwater Show Prices?
Neither says why; both route buyers to a demo. Profound's brand pricing shows a free Trial with “Limited AI Marketer credits,” “50 prompts run daily for 7 days” and “ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews,” and an Enterprise package priced “Custom” with “Up to 9 Answer Engines tracked” and SSO (Profound). Meltwater lists AI Visibility Tracking among the capabilities on its Starter, Pro, Enterprise and Agency plans, says it “uses tailored pricing,” and says “most partnerships are structured on annual agreements, with a minimum contract length of 12 months” (Meltwater). Third-party sites print figures for both; we do not repeat them.
What This Means for Anyone Buying Visibility Tracking
A tracker reports what AI answers say; it does not change them. Before paying, ask how many prompts and engines the price covers, how often each runs, what an extra engine costs, and whether the contract is monthly or annual. Second, Peec AI's prices appear only in the rendered page and may be localized; we report what a browser showed on October 19, 2026. Third, prompt allowances, engines and refresh rates differ, so prices are not like for like, and the chart compares entry points only. Fourth, this market reprices often; every figure is as of October 19, 2026.
Conclusion
Published entry prices for AI visibility tracking run from $29 to $199 a month, and two of the best-known names publish none. For a buyer, the honest comparison is the same prompt list and engine list priced by each vendor, after a free manual audit shows whether paid tracking is needed at all.
