Best Alternatives to PodMatch in 2026: 5 Podcast Guest-Booking Platforms Compared by Price and How They Match

The main alternatives to PodMatch in 2026 are MatchMaker.fm, Talks.co, PodcastGuests.com, Rephonic and Podchaser; PodMatch charges guests $32 a month for its Standard plan, and published alternative prices run from $15 to $99 a month. They differ in one way that matters more than price: whether the platform matches guests with hosts, sends a list of open slots, or sells research data for cold pitching. PodMatch's prices load only in a browser, so we read them there on October 19, 2026. Every price below is a vendor list price, and none of these services guarantees a booking.

What Are the Best Alternatives to PodMatch in 2026?

The five alternatives we could check on their own pages are MatchMaker.fm, Talks.co, PodcastGuests.com, Rephonic and Podchaser. They fall into three kinds of product. MatchMaker.fm and Talks.co are matching marketplaces like PodMatch, where hosts and guests keep profiles and the platform suggests pairings. PodcastGuests.com is an opportunity list with a paid directory. Rephonic and Podchaser are research databases that help you find and contact shows yourself. Picking the wrong kind matters more than a few dollars a month.

What Does PodMatch Offer, and What Does It Cost?

PodMatch is a two-sided matching marketplace whose prices depend on whether you are a host, a guest or both. Its pricing page, which fills in prices only after a visitor picks a role, lists Standard Host at $6 a month, Standard Guest at $32, Standard Both at $38 and Professional at $64 for each role, all shown "/Per month." The Agency plan is "$64/month (includes 2 clients) + $32.00/month for each additional managed client" (PodMatch).

Every plan lists "Receive Unlimited Matches." The Standard Guest plan adds a public guest one-sheet, a video pitch and reach statistics; Professional adds premium search filters, "Top Placement in Match Results," automated emails to hosts and, for guests, hosts' estimated download stats. PodMatch also pays hosts: the page says they "get paid up to $32.00 per interview when they find their guests through PodMatch." It offers a "100% money-back guarantee" and links to full terms, which we did not review. No free plan is listed.

That host payment is worth understanding before you buy. It means the platform, not the guest, compensates the host; we read nothing on the page suggesting a guest pays a host for an appearance. If any platform or host asks a guest to pay for airtime, that is advertising and should be disclosed to listeners, as our guide What Does a Podcast Guest Spot Cost? explains.

What Do the Alternatives Cost?

Four of the five alternatives publish prices, from $15 a month (MatchMaker.fm) to $99 a month (Rephonic Light); Podchaser Pro is quote-only. For a guest, PodMatch's $32 Standard Guest plan sits in the middle of that range.

Billing bases differ and are shown in each label; PodMatch and MatchMaker.fm show a monthly figure without a stated annual option. MatchMaker.fm's live site returned a security check to our browser, so its figure comes from the archived copy of its own home page. Podchaser is not charted because it publishes no price. The products differ: Rephonic is a research and pitching database, not a matching service.

The chart shows how far apart the entry prices are, but the products are not like for like: Rephonic sells search, listener data and contact tools for pitching many shows, while the cheaper services sell a profile, a match feed or a directory listing. Our view, not a vendor claim, is that the monthly price says little about the cost per booked episode, which none of these vendors publishes.

Is MatchMaker.fm a Good PodMatch Alternative?

Yes; it is the closest in design. MatchMaker.fm is a matching community for shows and guests with profiles, video pitches, in-app messaging and weekly matches. Its home page, as archived on October 12, 2026, describes "Auto-magic matches based on your profile and interests, refreshed weekly," filtering across "100+ categories," and calendar integration for booking. It offers "Try free for 30 days, then $15/mo," "No credit card required" and "5 free conversation starts" in the trial; its FAQ says trial users who hit the conversation limit must wait for the monthly refresh to start new outbound conversations. An agency plan lets you "create and manage up to 10 guest profiles" (MatchMaker.fm, Internet Archive).

The live site returned a security-verification page to both our fetch tool and our browser on October 19, so we read the archived copy, which is a week old. Its home page also gives two different community sizes, so we do not repeat either. Its FAQ says profiles may list appearance "rates and fees," and that "It's important to disclose these upfront." Fits: guests and hosts who want PodMatch-style matching at a lower list price. Limit: confirm the current price on the live site before paying.

Is Talks.co a PodMatch Alternative?

Yes. Talks.co calls itself "The expert directory for media," where "Podcast hosts, journalists, and producers find you and reach out" (Talks.co). Its AI suggests profiles; you mark them Interested or Pass, and mutual interest opens messaging. The free plan gives "1 connection request every 30 days" and a custom profile URL. Pro, at $18.67 a month or "$224 billed annually," adds 30 connections a month, auto-accept, a video pitch and top placement in search; Agency covers up to 5 profiles at $53.07 a month, "$636.8 billed annually" (Talks.co).

Two cautions from its own page. It advertises "Save 36%" on yearly billing in one place and "Save up to 50% with annual plans" in another. And its refund policy is strict: "We don't issue refunds, even if you cancel immediately after your credit card is charged for a new billing period." Talks.co also publishes its own comparison pages about rivals; we did not use them, because a vendor's comparison of a competitor is not a primary source. Fits: experts who want a free starting profile and inbound requests. Limit: one connection a month on the free plan, and no refunds.

What Is PodcastGuests.com?

PodcastGuests.com is an opportunity newsletter with a paid directory, not a matching engine. Podcasters describe the guest they want; experts who receive the newsletter apply by form, and the site passes the applicants to the podcaster. Experts get "2 emails/week with 10 guest opportunities"; the home page says to "Join 47,000+ users for free" (PodcastGuests.com).

The paid expert directory is a separate product. Basic costs "$15 /month paid annually or choose $20/month paid monthly" for a listing in one category; Premium costs "$33.25 /month paid annually or choose $45/month paid monthly," adds two categories and social promotion, and the page says Premium members "get significantly MORE invitations than Basic members," a vendor claim we cannot test (PodcastGuests.com). Fits: guests who want a free feed of open slots and will apply themselves. Limit: it lists opportunities; it does not match.

Is Rephonic a PodMatch Alternative?

Only partly. Rephonic is a research and pitching tool that "gives you listener demographics and podcast information across more than four million podcasts." Plans are Light ($99 a month: 1 user, 100 searches, 3 campaigns), Standard ($149: 5 users, 500 searches, 50 campaigns) and Business ($299: 10 users, unlimited searches and campaigns). Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, for which "You will be asked to enter your credit card information," and yearly billing gives "two months free" (Rephonic).

Rephonic finds shows and contacts; it does not introduce you to a host who has opted in. That suits a publicist pitching many shows, and our guide How to Pitch Yourself as a Podcast Guest covers that side. Fits: teams pitching at volume. Limit: the highest entry price here, and outreach is still cold.

What About Podchaser?

Podchaser Pro is a podcast data and contacts database sold by quote. Its FAQ says "Pricing depends on your team's needs and data usage. Schedule a quick demo to discuss pricing." The page lists audience reach, listener demographics, contact exports, sponsor data and ad rate estimates, and names "Podcast Guest Placement" among its uses (Podchaser). The /pricing address the draft cited returns "Sorry, this page doesn't exist." Fits: agencies that also buy podcast ads and need data on both. Limit: no published price, and like Rephonic it supports cold pitching rather than matching.

Where Is PodMatch Still the Better Choice?

PodMatch is the better choice when you want a matching service with a published price, host statistics and a refund promise. Among the alternatives, only MatchMaker.fm offers similar matching at a lower list price, and we could read it only in an archived copy. Talks.co has no refunds; Rephonic and Podchaser leave the outreach to you. PodMatch's host plan, at $6 a month, is also the cheapest paid plan in this comparison for a podcaster looking for guests.

  • Choose PodMatch for matching with profile statistics and a money-back guarantee.
  • Choose MatchMaker.fm for similar matching at $15 a month, after confirming the live price.
  • Choose Talks.co for a free starting profile that hosts can find.
  • Choose PodcastGuests.com for a free list of open guest slots.
  • Choose Rephonic or Podchaser for research data when you pitch many shows.

Final Verdict: Is There a Better Choice Than PodMatch?

There is no single better choice; the right pick depends on whether you want matching, a list of open slots or research data. A platform opens a door, and the host decides who appears. Whatever tool you use, prepare a one-sheet first; see How to Write a Podcast Guest One-Sheet.

How We Compared PodMatch and Its Alternatives

We read each vendor's own pricing and home pages on October 19, 2026. PodMatch's prices appear only after JavaScript runs, so we read them in a browser. MatchMaker.fm's live site showed a security check, so we used the Internet Archive's October 12, 2026 copy of its home page. We did not create accounts, test matching or measure booking rates, and we used no review sites or competitors' comparison pages.
