What it is
The Knowledge Panel is Google's summary of an entity it considers notable: a person, company, or organization. It pulls a photo, a short description, and key facts from across the web and from Google's own Knowledge Graph.
Having one signals legitimacy. Not having one, when competitors do, quietly signals the opposite.
What triggers one
Google generates a panel when it is confident an entity is real, notable, and consistently described. That confidence comes from structured references, repeated mentions in credible sources, and clear connections between your name and your work.
There is no form that guarantees a panel. It is earned through the same signals that build authority everywhere else.
Claiming and correcting it
Once a panel exists, you can verify yourself as the entity it represents and suggest corrections. Until then, the work is building the underlying record: consistent bios, credible coverage, and clean structured data that ties everything to one identity.
