Best Alternatives to Brandwatch in 2026: 5 Consumer Intelligence and Listening Platforms Compared

As of October 2026, the main alternatives to Brandwatch, a demo-only consumer intelligence and social listening platform owned by Cision, are Talkwalker (Lumen), Sprinklr, Meltwater, Onclusive and Brand24; only Brand24 publishes prices. Brand24 starts at $199 a month billed annually; the other four, like Brandwatch, quote privately. The choice depends on whether the job is consumer research, enterprise customer experience, PR monitoring or low-cost brand tracking. This guide compares what each vendor’s own pages state, says where Brandwatch is still the better choice and flags every figure that is a vendor’s own claim.

  • Sprinklr calls itself “The definitive AI‑native platform for extraordinary customer experiences” and says its Social product reaches, engages and listens “across 30+ digital and social channels,” with “Contact us” instead of a price (Sprinklr).
  • Brand24 lists Individual $199, Team $299, Pro $399 and Business $599 a month billed annually, Enterprise from $1,499, and a 14-day free trial with no card (Brand24 pricing).

What Are the Best Alternatives to Brandwatch in 2026?

The five alternatives we could check on the vendors’ own pages are Talkwalker (Lumen), Sprinklr, Meltwater, Onclusive and Brand24. Consumer intelligence means analyzing large volumes of public online conversation to understand consumers, brands and markets. Brandwatch’s closest rivals are the enterprise listening platforms, Talkwalker and Sprinklr; the PR suites and Brand24 solve overlapping but narrower jobs.

What Is Brandwatch, and What Does It Cost?

Brandwatch is a consumer intelligence and social media management platform, and it publishes no price. Its home page calls itself “The most intelligent social suite” and lists four solutions: Consumer Intelligence (“Understand your consumers, your brand, and your market”), Social Media Management (“Formerly the Falcon suite”), Influencer Marketing and Search Intelligence (“Discover consumer intent and improve your visibility across search and AI”) (Brandwatch).

The plans page says Consumer Intelligence is “FOR RESEARCHERS AND ANALYSTS” who want to “Search the world’s largest archive of consumer opinion for market insights,” segment audiences in customizable dashboards, “Analyze data at scale with industry-leading AI” and distribute automated reports and alerts. Social Media Management covers publishing, a shared content calendar for organic and paid posts, a social inbox and listening; Influencer Marketing lets agencies and brands “Quickly search an influencer database of over 30m creators.” It states no price and no trial; the only offer is a free demo, and it says “With standard to enterprise plans available for each of our solutions” (Brandwatch plans).

Who Owns Brandwatch?

Cision owns Brandwatch. Brandwatch’s own site says so in its form text, which asks you to agree “for your details to be shared with our parent company Cision,” and its navigation carries a “Brandwatch + Cision” section (Brandwatch).

Cision’s home page lists Brandwatch next to CisionOne, PR Newswire and Trajaan Search Intelligence, and a Cision post titled “Cision Acquires Brandwatch,” published February 26, 2021 according to its page data, says “Cision announced today that we are acquiring Brandwatch” (Cision; Cision announcement). That post gives no closing date, so we do not state one. For buyers, the practical point is that Brandwatch can be bought alongside Cision’s PR database and wire.

What Do Brandwatch and Its Alternatives Cost?

Brandwatch and four of its five alternatives publish no prices; Brand24 does, from $199 a month billed annually. That makes a direct cost comparison impossible without quotes, so we do not chart one.

PlatformHow it is priced, per its own pagesContract or billing terms stated
Brandwatch“standard to enterprise plans” for each solution; demo onlyNone stated
Talkwalker (Lumen)Core, Analyze and Business; “Pick your plan to get a custom quote”; unlimited users on every planNone stated
SprinklrNo pricing page found; “Contact us”None stated
Meltwater“tailored pricing”; quote depends on sources, regions, data volume, users and integrationsMost contracts annual, 12-month minimum; possible onboarding fee
Onclusive“Request a Demo”; no price listNone stated
Brand24$199, $299, $399, $599 a month billed annually ($249 to $699 monthly); Enterprise from $1,49914-day trial; 30-day money-back guarantee except custom plans

Our recommendation, not a vendor rule: ask each enterprise vendor for a written quote with the same number of users, markets, topics and years of historical data, so the quotes can be compared. Brand24’s ladder is a reference point, not a Brandwatch equivalent, because its plans cap keywords at 3 to 25.

How Do the Coverage Claims Compare?

Each vendor counts coverage in a different unit, and none of the figures is independently audited. Talkwalker publishes the most specific listening numbers; Brandwatch’s only source count on the pages we read is for threat monitoring.

VendorCoverage claim, as publishedSource
Brandwatch“the world’s largest archive of consumer opinion”; threat monitoring “across over 100m sources”Brandwatch
Talkwalker (Lumen)150 million data sources, 30+ social platforms, 187 languages, 196 countriesTalkwalker
Sprinklr“30+ digital and social channels”Sprinklr
Meltwater1.3+ billion documents ingested daily; 240+ languages supportedMeltwater
Onclusive3M+ online sources, 70K+ print outlets, 6K+ broadcast channels, 25+ social platformsOnclusive
Brand24Sources listed by type (Facebook, Instagram, X, news, blogs, Reddit and others); no totalBrand24

Our recommendation: treat these as starting questions for a demo, not as a ranking. Ask each vendor which of your markets and platforms it covers in full and which it samples.

Is Talkwalker a Better Alternative to Brandwatch?

Talkwalker (Lumen) is the closest direct competitor, since both sell listening-led analysis by demo to research and insights teams. Talkwalker says it is “The first choice of over 2,500 organizations,” lists social listening, media monitoring and social benchmarking, and says it was renamed Lumen by Talkwalker with “Same data, same reports, same workflows and integrations” (Talkwalker).

Its pricing page is more explicit than Brandwatch’s: three named plans scaled by “non-sampled results volume,” topics and historical data, an AI Agent and “LLM Insights” for monitoring how AI assistants describe a brand, and “Unlimited users” on every plan (Talkwalker pricing). Talkwalker’s About page says it “is now a part of Hootsuite,” so, like Brandwatch, it sits inside a larger group (Talkwalker About). Details are in our Talkwalker alternatives guide.

Is Sprinklr a Good Brandwatch Alternative?

Sprinklr is the broader enterprise option, built around customer experience as well as listening. Its home page lists Sprinklr Insights (“Uncover real-time consumer, product and market insights to build great products, drive loyalty, and deliver extraordinary customer experiences”), Marketing, Social and Service products, and describes one platform to “Unify your customer-facing teams — from marketing and service to CX” (Sprinklr).

It cites vendor-reported results, such as “Microsoft analyzed 8.6 billion mentions and turned them into actionable VoC insights,” and analyst placements it reports itself, including a Leader position in “The Forrester Wave™: Social Suites, Q4 2024” and in the “2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Social Media Management and Listening.” The page gives no price. Limit: those are Sprinklr’s own claims, and the breadth means more to buy than a listening-only research team needs.

Should a PR Team Pick Meltwater or Onclusive Instead?

Yes, if news coverage and journalist outreach matter more than consumer research. Meltwater lists Media Intelligence, Social listening, AI Visibility Tracking and Media Relations among the capabilities on all four plans, uses “tailored pricing” and a 12-month minimum on most agreements, and claims “1.3+ Billion Documents Ingested Daily” (Meltwater pricing; Meltwater).

Onclusive lists Media Monitoring (“across print, online, broadcast and social media”), Social Listening, Analytics, a Media Contacts Database and Outreach product and AI Brand Visibility, and says it is “Trusted by 13,000+ Brands Worldwide” (Onclusive). Neither page publishes a price or describes a consumer-opinion archive comparable to Brandwatch’s. A team that wants both sides can also stay inside the Cision group, which pairs Brandwatch with CisionOne.

Is Brand24 Enough if Brandwatch Is Too Big?

For one brand and a few keywords, yes; for research across markets, no. Brand24’s plans cap keywords (3, 7, 12 or 25) and monthly mentions (2K, 10K, 40K or 100K), Enterprise adds custom limits, unlimited users and an “AI Visibility module,” and the page offers a 14-day trial with “No credit card required” and a 30-day money-back guarantee excluding custom plans (Brand24 pricing). See alternatives to Brand24 and alternatives to Mention for cheaper options still.

Where Does Brandwatch Still Win?

Brandwatch still wins for dedicated consumer research inside a wider suite. Its pages describe an analyst-oriented archive and dashboards, a separate Search Intelligence product aimed at “search and AI” visibility, an influencer database of “over 30m creators” and social publishing in the same vendor (Brandwatch; Brandwatch plans).

  • Research focus: Meltwater and Onclusive lead with news and PR work; Brandwatch leads with consumer research.
  • Suite breadth: research, social management, influencer and search products under one vendor, with Cision’s PR tools available alongside.
  • Influencer discovery: none of the five alternatives states an influencer database size on the pages we read.
  • Where it loses: no price or trial on its pages, and Talkwalker publishes clearer plan structure and coverage figures.

Who Should Choose Brandwatch, and Who Should Choose an Alternative?

Choose Brandwatch for a research or insights team; choose a PR suite for news coverage; choose Brand24 for a small budget.

Final Verdict: Brandwatch or an Alternative?

Brandwatch and Talkwalker are the like-for-like pair, and Talkwalker currently says more in public about its plans and coverage; the other three answer different questions. Run the same queries in three vendors’ demos, ask for written quotes on identical terms, and decide on what each returns for your own markets.

Sources and Methodology

This guide is built from each vendor’s own public pages, read October 21, 2026. Brandwatch’s ownership is taken from its own form text and from Cision’s pages; the Cision post’s publication date comes from its page metadata. Figures are vendor claims as displayed and were not independently verified. No chart is included because only one of the six vendors publishes prices and the coverage figures use different units. House advice is labeled as such. We did not test any platform or request quotes. Sprinklr’s /pricing/ address returned a 404 error when we checked, and its home page links no pricing page.
